Pgh CornHole is taking its mid season break and will not play June 23 so what better time for a recap of the season so far. The first week brought us beautiful weather and the eight teams all got introduced to each other. It is always nice to meet new people especially over some friendly competition. Eight teams is a good number for the inaugural season, but we expect to see more of you on new teams next season.

As we all know, Pittsburgh weather is about as predictable as the lottery. The second week began outdoors and we were quickly chased indoors to avoid torrential downpours. Week 3 was played entirely indoors at out rain location Calico Jacks. The teams can contest that indoor and out are completely different games, but that just adds to the fun!

After the first few weeks, there were some teams that looked like they were going to run away with the lead and not look back. Those teams think differently after they stumbled during week 4. The teams that could not find a way to win are now figuring out how to gets some points on the board, even against the highest ranked teams. Over 500 cornholes have been thrown and over 1400 points scored. Competition is definitely heating up.

What is CornHole?
Cornhole is a fun game that can be played by people of all ages and abilities and is totally addicting. the game is played using two cornhole boards and four bags filled with corn for each player or playing team. The boards are positioned at opposite ends of the court from each other and players throw bags from next to boards.

Players throw the bags at each of the cornhole boards and try to make them into the holes at either end. Points are scored when the bag lands somewhere on the board or in the hole on the board. Bags that land on the board get one point and bags that land in the hole get three points.
